Two bits of phone information caught my eye today. The first is that Opera have released their Web browser for the P800, as a free download. Reports thus far suggest that it is a GREAT piece of software. Apparently it is even capable of FTP - ideas abound. The list of standards the browser supports is huge - full respect to the Opera dudes.
The second piece of news is that Nokia and SonyEricsson are to align their development efforts for the Symbian UIQ and Series60 platforms. I read recently that Nokia has the largest installed base of software - larger than that of Microsoft. Microsoft have had very little luck breaking into the phone market, and this latest move must be bright on the radar for them. Watch this space.
