NY-LON

Last night I had a nice, although short, catchup with Fiona (Big Brother blogger) at Rick's. She survived the hurricanes in Florida and was back to tell the tale(s).

When I got home, I made some food and sat down to catch the news, but ended up watching NY-LON, a cool new series on Channel4 about ... life and love, interrupted by the Atlantic. Highly recommended viewing! There is a cool logo shown during the program, but I couldn't find it to paste in here.

I work for moviebank, usually at the Stockbridge shop. The branch at Newington closed but if you go to either Broughton St, Stockbridge or Dalry and explain that you were a customer there then you get your money transferred and £10 credit for free for all the hassle. The Tollcross branch is run by another franchise owner so not sure about that one... The Broughton branch is easily the best with a huge back catalogue and all the new releases, plus tons of indie/arthouse. As for being a rip-off the staff are usually very accommodating and there are no late fees charged, all you need to do is pop in between 2-10pm and talk with one of us and we'll put your balance back to zero so you don't lose out on any money if it's in the red. That said, I was member of Alphabet before I worked here and it is pretty damn good, I miss old video-shops like that.

Oh yeah, we also sell ice-cream!!!
