I'm sure I did see this somewhere before, perhaps when it was super pre-beta-beta, and I didn't get it. Now there's some momentum, and Carrick pointed out the fun of it, I thought I should have a go.
World66 is an open travel guide, which means you go in and add detail about the areas you know or have been to. If everyone does the same thing, you ideally end up with a more up-to-date and interesting travel guide than you might in a book, for example.
