gee we do lead exciting lives here dont we...
Pete -- I totally agree with you on the PIN thing. My understanding was that the enhanced security came about as a result of having to sign *and* know a PIN. Also, if someone saw my PIN whilst in a shop, then got my card and took it for a walk to the bank machine, I'm pretty sure they could do more financial damage to me than without a PIN.
Weird what marketing can make you buy into, eh?

'anon' -- three things.
1. If you're going to post a comment, at least have the courage of your convictions to leave your name or, failing that, a valid email address of Web site
2. No-one is forcing you to read my this. My site is as much for me as it is for you/anyone else. If you like it, cool. If not, please move on. There are *plenty* of other sites out there that you should find something you like.
3. Comments have been left 'open' on here to allow free and easy discussion, by those of a less technical bent. Please don't abuse my decision. Thank you. :-)

Also, the worry is someone watching as you type in your PIN in the shop (it'as hard to stop someone seeing with most of the PIN entry gadgets), then stealing your card when you get outside.
That's progress, I suppose ;-)
