Unless you're literally living on Mars, you'll have seen, heard and read plenty about the devastation caused by the earthquake and subsequent tsunami in Asia. Practically, there probably isn't too much you can do to help, but you can assist with cash.
The Disaster Emergency Commitee, which seems to be some kind of government of charity umbrella group (their about page is broken), are accepting donations, although their page seems to be broken for giving, too. The British Red Cross are happy to take money though, so you could try there.
