If technology doesn't seem like magic, it's probably obsolete

I'm finding less time to update my blog these days, but my flickr photostream is often updated.

Playing in my house right now...

Okay, so it's a bit late (for those who are superstitious) to remove the Christmas tree....but it was just so pretty it seemed a shame to destroy it any earlier. :-(

Did you look into recycling your tree? Not sure about Edinburgh, but London had a massive tree recycling campaign.

Steve -- if you've gone for minimalist white fairy lights with no specific Christmas-related design, you should be fine to keep them up.

Mrs Baxter(!) -- to be honest, I wasn't aware of the tree recycling scheme. Having now done some digging, I've discovered I could have called LEEP and they would have assisted. Further, in their most informative winter news (PDF!) I discovered my Yellow Pages could have been recycled in a normal paper bin (previously you had to do something different with it, as the paper is of a strange type). What a day!
