My rents have been over visiting this weekend, so we've been seeing some shows:
- on Friday night we saw Gill Bowman perform some traditional and self-penned Scottish songs, taking us from the cradle to the grave. As sometimes happens in Fringe shows, the audience was tiny, with just 9 members. It was a most enjoyable show that I would recommend.
- last night we kicked off with The Magnets and their Magnetude show. These guys sing normal songs, but making all the normal instrument sounds themselves. It's a clever thing to pull off well, which they do, but overall the show didn't light my fire. On the other hand, my parents and sister loved it.
- we stayed at St George's for Balagan which, as before, was excellent. Parents and sister all gave that five stars.
