Evans pointed out that Google have launched their IM service after ages pretending they had no plans to do so. All the cool kids are already using it. Seems to be some good feedback given it's an XMPP-based service with an open gateway. Google are BOUND to whack some great toys in there for developers to build out, so whilst the service is pretty basic just now, I'm putting my money there are already lines of code being laid down.
The Windows client is OK (it's a Google client), but all other platforms are using third-party tools. If you want to talk to me, I'm martinlittle.com {at} gmail dot com (please do NOT use that address for email; I'm not reading it).

Paul is like so totally NOT one of the cool kids.
They are trying to fight yahoo and MSN. Let's wait and see what will be the next.
