Back in August I posted about the RIBA Stirling Prize. At the weekend the winner was announced ... and amazingly it was the Scottish Parliament that won!
On a related note, the new series of Grand Designs has begun. The first programme in the new series followed a 78-year old lady building her new house. It really did not seem that interesting, however. I'm sure the rest of the series will pick up quickly though. My own plans to build a house are definitely formulating. It seems like one of those things you just need to do in life.

I liked the old lady's house. No the program wasn't the best (just watched GDrevisited with the log cabin - excellent) but I tought the house was superb.
