For Christmas I received a pair of Flow AMP-5 bindings for my snowboard. This is me prepping for the real snow.

Nazar sent us a surprise present from California - some delicious olive oil. Thank you.

At the 11th hour, my London Marathon place is secured, thanks to the running club. :-D

It looks to be a tentative beginning, hopefully moving on to a broader range once popularity has been established.

Last weekend I successfully completed the Times Samurai Sudoku ... and promptly forgot to send in the solution for entry to the prize draw. Doh!

2006 will be a big birthday year for me, so please put Tuesday 25th April and/or Friday 28th April and/or Saturday 29th April in your diary/online calendar/phone. If a fairy sprinkles some magic dust, I may still make the London Marathon on Sunday 23rd April. Let's see.

Hazel set the tone for 30th birthday celebrations, with about eight parties, three dinners and several other events ... so there's a lot to live up to!

I've become a bit of a fan of Lost on channel 4, mostly thanks to my sister. As a it of old news, my cousin's husband's brother is starring in the second series -- in fact, he's the first person you see following the recap of the first series!

Somewhere, I feel sure that my bacon number has just dropped a notch or two...

My parents were over on Saturday, so we took a walk around the market and a ride on the wheel. The market was cool, but the wheel was a rip-off. £2.50 for just over one continuous rotation. Grrr.

Yesterday we were out for lunch, and I tried two tasty beers. First up is Innes and Gunn - 77 days (it takes 77 days to make), which is a beer left to sit for 30 days in malt whisky casks. I forget where the other 47 days go.

Next up, we have Vital Spark from Fyne Ales. Definitely recommended, as is the Bow Bar.
