This weekend has been pretty busy for sport, in terms of doing and watching. On Saturday my parents came over, and I guessed we'd have a few beers whilst watching the rugby, so decided to get my LSD out the way on Saturday morning. My distance running seems to be going OK (touch wood) but my speed was letting me down, so I thought I'd give a little push and see what happened. Thankfully my legs didn't give up, and I managed the required 12 miles in 87 minutes, which I'm pretty happy with. Now, I just need to do that twice-and-a-little-bit at the same pace, and I'll be happy. Hmmm...
After a delicious lunch, dad and I headed off to catch the Scotland vs England rugby match with Rich. It was an incredible afternoon: Scotland pulled off their second win of this campaign, beating England 18-12. There will have been a LOT of sore Scottish heads on Sunday morning!
Today Hazel and I ate a lot, then had a quick march around the Pentland Hills. Tonight was the closing ceremony of the Torino Winter Olympics 2006. These Olympics have been brilliant, and I'm quite sad to see them finish. For 2010 in Vancouver, I'm aiming to be there for sure.
Now it's time to get a good sleep before the week begins again...
