Two things I'm planning to attend in the near future:
- the Scottish Traditional Beer Festival at the Assembly Rooms from Thursday 8th June to Saturday 10th June
- the Scotland vs Pakistan cricket match on Tuesday 27th June. To be honest, I'm not a huge fan of the leather-on-willow stylee, but any sport that stops play to eat and drink gets my vote. I'll probably need to try understanding some rules. Maybe.

Ah, thanks Rich -- all clear now. @-)
Hi Martin
I'm helping to arrange a charity fund raising event in Edinburgh that I was hoping that you could help by publicising on your website. The event itself is held in aid of the Pilmeny Junior Youth Club (based in Leith), a youth club that relies on charitable donations to run. The club is for 7-10 years olds, and the funds raised will go towards a summer programme for them. The event that we are holding is a Summer Fair on Saturday, July 15th in Pilrig St Paul's Church (Leith Walk). We are selling tables at £10, from where people can sell their unwanted household items, creative talents and shop stock. There will be entertainment as well as food and drinks on offer.
People can book a stall by emailing pilmeny@mycartoon.co.uk, or by calling 07955844759.
I hope that you're able to tell your website visitors about this charity event!
Regards,
Colin Webster

You have two sides, one out in the field and one in. Each man that's in goes out, and when he's out he comes in and the next man goes in until he is out. When they are all out except one man who is not out, the side that's been out comes in and the side that's been in goes out and tries to get those coming in, out.
When a man goes out to go in, the men who are out try to get him out, and when he is out, he goes in and the next man in goes out and goes in. There are two men called umpires who are all out all the time, and they decide when the men who are in are out. When both sides have been in and all the men have been out, and both sides have been out twice after all the men have been in, including those who are not out, that is the end of the game.
