Richard, just in case you didn't know that your site was down ... it is, sorry. Email is queueing for you too.
I'm part of the beta test of The Venice Project Joost, the latest Internet TV project. There's lots of hype, as you'd expect. It works reasonably well so far, although channels are limited.
Tomorrow we get our new house, and I have to move out of my current place. Packing is in full swing right now.
My parents are coming over to assist, and I'm just hoping the weather relents enough for them to make it. Moving house in the snow would not be cool [pun intended]. We're having a party at the new house tomorrow night. I've tried to get in touch with everyone, but if you've not heard from me, are in Edinburgh tomorrow night and want to come and see the new house, drop me a text or a mail for location information. The phone line and ADSL service are scheduled to automagically move overnight, so there should be full connectivity when we get the keys.
There is a Flash Mob Silent Disco tonight at Bristo Square, 10.30pm GMT. Be there!
If it works as it's meant to, that is one seriously nice piece of kit.
Well done to title="Janice and Dee dook">Janice, Dee & Grandad McClay for Dooking on 1st January. Don't forget to sponsor them.
I'm being overwhelmed with spam, so have shut down pretty much everything apart from my one real address. If you're mailing me, please make sure you have that, or else use the contact form to get in touch.
Finally, a good dump of snow in the Alps. James was over last night, and over a few pints in Tigerlily and a very tasty burger in The Cambridge we were soon talking about previous boarding trips. The start of March is looking like a possible time, despite marathon training.
Just before Christmas, Hazel and I went across to Xscape at Braehead which has a 200m indoor ski slope, with real snow. It was great fun to finally use my new board & bindings, and Hazel was almost instantly zooming down the slope despite it only being her second time ever. Definitely a very good fun activity.
If you're in Edinburgh, you can recycle your tree this way, and Tesco everywhere is accepting Christmas cards in aid of the Woodland Trust.
Hope everyone survived the Christmas and New Year period and is ready for the new year! My Christmas was great, being back home with family and then visiting friends. New Year thankfully wasn't cancelled by the weather for us as we were inside at the New Year Revels having a brilliant time. Photos to follow.
Have a great 2007!
