A few months ago I splurged a massive £35 on a Holox BT-321 GPS Bluetooth receiver. I'd link directly to the Holox site, but it seems to have fallen over. If you decide you want one, eBay is most likely your friend.
Anyway, the reason I bought a GPS Bluetooth receiver was to have some phone fun. First off, I installed TomTom 6 (you may want to check out this Esato thread for pointers, maybe from page 6 onwards...). Bingo -- immediately I had a working sat-nav system in my hands. Again, eBay is a good place to look for the software and maps.
On Tuesday, I ended up checking out the Mobile GMaps site, and spotted gmap-track.com, which lets you post your current location back on to the Web. As you can see, it works extremely nicely. The site is quite bare at the moment, but the potential is incredible and I'm sure Cristian's mind is buzzing with ideas.
If you have a phone and GPS unit, it's well worth checking out. There will definitely be a lot more in this area in the coming few months, particularly phones like the Nokia N95 coming with built-in GPS.
