If technology doesn't seem like magic, it's probably obsolete

I'm finding less time to update my blog these days, but my flickr photostream is often updated.

Now that the latest revision of firmware for the P990 is out, it's not too far from the phone it should have been at launch ... although the Nokia N95 has certainly raised the bar.

If you have a P990, be sure to upgrade. Speed and stability are up, as are features. Nice.

Sorry but P990 is far behind the game. No-one will take my Orbit XDA (link) away from me now. Slim, radio, GPS, SatNav, camera, wi-fi, MP3 player astonishing battery life. I use it with Memory Map and when cycling is excellent for knowing which farm track to take. It could do with a better camera and the Nokia 95 may have the edge there but it doesn't work with Memory Map. You need to move on...

Rich: the upgrade really does make a very good difference.

Andy: the Orbit looks like an impressive package, but I like my phone to run on Symbian. :-) The P990 is already feeling aged though, true.
