My sore foot has kept me away from exercise for over a month now, but it finally feels like it is getting better. I've been meaning to get my bike out for the last few weeks to see if cycling affects it, and today I finally got out and about, partly inspired by Ewan, partly after watching the London Marathon on TV.
My route wasn't particularly long or exciting, but it has put me in a very relaxed and happy mood this evening (despite some %$%& having nicked my seatpack at some point when my bike was either in a stairwell or locked outside). Cycling is something I'm going to aim to build into my life as a compliment to running; the two should ensure all parts of my legs are being used, and reduce risk of injury.
Here's my route for today. As I got to the Pentlands I pulled out my phone to get some nice pictures, but the battery died immediately. Doh!
