Throwing new, relatively untested technology right into a situation where it must work is not always a good idea, as I learned at the weekend. I recorded a few short videos of my uncle, to send to relatives overseas. My plan was to email them immediately, but when I came to send them on my NEC e606, I got the helpful error message 'Memory is full'. Initially I thought I'd recorded too many videos, and deleted the downloaded stuff, until eventually I had to get rid of the personal messages. After much cursing and googling, I finally worked out that I should delete sent mails. Grrrr.
Just in case anyone else has the same problem and is not so fluent in Russian (that was the only other site I found when I googled), I'm noting the problem and resolution here, so that when the googlebot next visits, the information will be search-findable. Now if anyone knows how to recover deleted files on an e606, I would be very grateful to know.
Video posting is now working as it should, which is quite cool.
