Last week I noted that Highland Cathedral was being mooted to be the new Scottish anthem. The SRU have obviously been reading my site and in a clear message that they are taking my ideas seriously, are planning to play both songs when France play Scotland at Murrayfield on Sunday the 21st of March. Looks like I may have to get along to that match. Fancy it, dad?

could do, as long as we don't have to lead the singing. Why change the anthem, we've only just learnt all the words for Flower of Scotland
Highland Cathedral:- The Audio Link has been changed to here .England has Abide with me as their sporting hymn so here are the lyrics for Scotland's Highland Cathedral.
Highland Cathedral
There is a land far from this distant shore
Where heather grows and Highland eagles soar
There is a land that will live ever more
Deep in my Heart, my Bonnie Scotland
Though I serve so far away
I still see her Dreams, cities and streams
I can't wait until the day
When I'll come home once more
And so Lord keep me from the harm of war
Through all it's dangers and the battles roar
Keep me safe until I'm home once more
Home to my ain in Bonnie Scotland
