If technology doesn't seem like magic, it's probably obsolete

I'm finding less time to update my blog these days, but my flickr photostream is often updated.

Playing in my house right now...

After several unsuccessful attempts to flnd wind for kite-flying, the mini kite took off today. Very cool indeed.

This looks like a rubbish weekend. Where are the pictures of mobile devices on tables and wireless technolgies being misused?

Yes, a weekend flying kites and drinking smirnoff ice - Sounds like a brownie camp.

What has happened to the ubergeek convention, where is the firework abuse and linking up of the latest pointless nerd devices to the interweb? Has your latest flame ruined you?

Someone has been watching too much Blue Peter.

We were fully kitted up for plenty of computer-based ridiculousness, but I didn't actually use my computer at all, and we only used Rich's for a quick information check. My GPRS account was on fire though, and I did continue to check my email hourly, but that was all.

We didn't actually have any fireworks this year, but I did do some GPSing, which probably counts as a nerd device in your eyes.

Next year will be a return to form, I'm sure. ;-)

Hi Simon, I can't take any responsibility for the 'brownie camp' antics this year. I was also disappointed to hear about the lack of fireworks after last year's extravaganza but I think the russian shandies for breakfast deserve some kudos! ;-)
