I'm finding less time to update my blog these days, but my flickr photostream is often updated.

Hazel booked tickets for us to see Match Point last night. As we sat down, and some shots of a tennis court were being shown, Hazel said "oh, it's about tennis". My heart sank ever-so-slightly at that point.

Thankfully, after about the first 5 minutes, there wasn't really too much more about tennis. There was a great story, with some great actors. I've only seen a few Woody Allen films, and I doubt I could name them, but this felt like a classic.

The story was somewhat predictable although enjoyable for the first half, but it definitely picked up and improved from there. One review I since read mentioned elements of Tales of the Unexpected, and I'd agree. Most definitely a film to catch. Good story, great acting, nice twist.

It's the first time I've ever noticed this, but the official site of the film has some interesting podcasts including interviews with Woody Allen and other cast members.
